1.4.2

Maintenance changes based on tag 1.4.1.

Changes

  • Compile against Android SDK 37.2 using its minor API DSL, retaining minSdk 20 and Build Tools 37.0.0.

  • Update Android Gradle Plugin from 9.4.0 to the stable 9.4.1 patch.

  • Update Android SDK setup to android-actions/setup-android@v4 (Node 24 and the maintained command-line tools provided by the action), explicitly installing platform-tools instead of the unavailable legacy tools package.

  • Apply one generated-class filter to module reports and root coverage aggregation, including HTML, XML and verification.

  • Disable Codecov report discovery so only build/reports/kover/report.xml is uploaded; module reports cannot reintroduce excluded classes.
  • Exclude only Android-generated BuildConfig, R and nested R classes; retain handwritten code and existing coverage floors.
  • Update the GitHub App token action to v3 (Node 24 on hosted runners).
  • Use this versioned changelog directly for the GitHub Release, without a duplicate root notes file.
  • Document coverage scope, local commands and the audited dependency versions.
  • Make Detekt scan KMP source sets instead of completing without analyzing sources.
  • Replace deprecated Gradle extra-property delegates with explicit typed lookups.
  • Refresh the JavaScript Yarn lockfile for Kotlin 2.4.20's tooling dependencies.
  • Update MkDocs Material from 9.7.6 to 9.7.7.
  • Update Gradle from 9.7.1 to 9.8.0 and verify the distribution with its official SHA-256 checksum.
  • Update Kover from 0.9.9 to 0.9.11.
  • Align scheduled CodeQL with the manual JVM/Android build, JDK 21 and isolated analysis compiler used in CI.
  • Format only placeholders in the original message template, preserving %s and %d inside argument values and avoiding recursive formatting.

Dependencies

jetbrains-kotlin 2.4.10 2.4.20
Android compile SDK 37 37.2
Android Gradle Plugin 9.4.0 9.4.1

Compatibility

No public API signature changes. Placeholder-like text inside argument values now remains literal. Existing minimum Android SDK and KMP targets remain unchanged. Coverage measures JVM/Android host tests; Apple, JS and Wasm tests remain in the test suite but do not contribute coverage counters.

Arch Lumber remains published as 1.4.0 in Maven Central until this candidate is released.
